Welcome to My Web Site

First, I need to say a word about Harvey Korman who died on May 29th.  He was a gift from God to the world of comedy.  To me he was a friend and a mentor, and taught me much of everything I know about comedy.  We will all miss him very much.

Now on a lighter note, my new book has finally come out.  "Mama for President" is hopefully a funny look at American politics, or is that redundant?  I was worried that the book was going to come out too late, that the campaign would be pretty much over.  But it seems to just get more and more confusing.  I think the United States is the only country that drags out the presidential election process for so long.  I worry that by the time November comes, we'll hate everybody so much and be so confused that we'll just close our eyes, mark our ballots, and hope for the best.  Of course if you are in Florida or Michigan, you might not need to bother!  All I can tell you is if Mama becomes president, she will see to it that your vote is counted.  So for a nominal fee, you too can read all about how Mama will save our messed up country.  Its got lots of pictures if you don't want to tax your brain, and it even has a few good recipes.  Little something for everyone, and hopefully a lot of laughs.

German Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

Combine caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk in top of double boiler.  Cook over low heat until caramels melt.  Combine cake mix, margarine, remaining 1/2 cup evaporated mild and nuts.  Lightly grease 9 x 13 inch pan.  Spread 1/2 cake mixture in pan.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 6 minutes.  Remove from oven.  Sprinkle chocolate chips over partially-baked cake mixture.  Then spread caramel mixture over chips.  Drop the remaining cake mixture by tiny spoonfuls over the caramel mixture.  Bake 5 minutes.  Remove from oven and spread to make a top layer.  Return to oven and bake 13 minutes longer.  Cool before cutting.
